Dist:0.5km north<br/>Originally a station with connections between the GWR mainline and Staines to the south and Uxbridge to the north. These connections no longer exist but there is a good fast service in both directions to London Paddington and Reading.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>Behind the hedge on the right is an industrial area - completely hidden from the canal. The buildings on the left are in a narrow strip between the canal and railway. Bridge 193, Horton Bridge Road, is visible though the trees on the right of the photo.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>This is Platform 5 at the station, but is effectively only a through track for the Colnbrook freight branch. A stopping train to Paddington can just be seen approaching the station in the distance.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>There are trains every 15 minutes to London Paddington from here, scheduled at either 20 or 24 minutes for the journey. However by 1842, about four years after the original station in West Drayton was opened, there were eight up and eight down trains daily, the fastest of which completed the journey to London in 25 minutes... The station sign on the left states "Change here for buses to Heathrow and Stockley Park". The attractive curved wooden valance is in need of some paint.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>There has been a station in West Drayton since the line west from Paddington was opened in 1838. However the present station building seen here is in a different location and was built between 1878 and 1881.
