The bridge also carries the footpath that runs between Wymington and the Byway to the southeast; it is labelled number SPC2/73, Goosey's Bridge.

Dist:0.8km<br/>This simple iron trunk railway bridge carries the main line between Bedford and Wellingborough over the country road between Podington and Wymington villages. At this point on the line, the tracks diverge for a couple of miles and this bridge serves the western track.

Dist:1.0km west<br/>This footbridge carries the footpath from Wymington to the Farndish Byway, over a ditch and into a copse where gamebirds are evidentally reared.

Dist:1.0km west<br/>This copse is not shown on the modern maps and has evidently sprung up in recent times, seemingly being used for rearing game birds. The well marked footpath to Wymington passes through the copse beside feeding areas and bird caging.
