Dist:0.8km<br/>This tree is in a field beside the road to the south-east of Wormsley. The wooded hill in the distance is Credenhill and Merryhill Wood is on the right, behind the tree.

Dist:0.8km<br/>This stone built culvert carries a stream under the lane leading to the site of Wormsley priory. The stream was diverted around the priory and was the main water source. The landowner and his staff at this point are distinctly unfriendly.

Dist:0.8km<br/>This church which is up a no through road next to Court House in Wormsley is in the car of The Churches Preservation Trust. Parts of the church date back to Norman times.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>Site of Augustinian priory, founded in 1216. Not a trace remains, but several old buildings locally (e.g. the Court House next to the Church) contain worked stones. A few stones can be found entangled in the roots of an enormous cedar tree nearby. A stream runs just in front of the trees and there are fishponds to the left. A very private site, just waiting for Time Team to come along.

Dist:1.1km north<br/>The house lies immediately behind the oasthouses (if that is what they are). A very private site, with threats of 'prosecution' being made. The humble birthplace of Richard Payne Knight, notable 18th century Dillettanti and pioneer of the Picturesque.
