Taken around 1974 from just outside the Woolwich Arsenal gates, the old tram tracks are still visible in the cobble stones running left to right between the two cars and just in front of the skirt stands. A second line crosses the foreground going 'through' the Cortina wing mirror with the other rail passing just in front of the litter.

Greenwich Council has several buildings in Woolwich, of which this is one. This building was demolished in 2011 to make way for a new supermarket so this is now a "historic" photo.

Dist:0.2km<br/>One of the largest elements of the major redevelopment of Woolwich Town Centre was this complex, including council offices for around 2000 staff, a public information centre and public library. At this point in May 2011, the structure was complete and being fitted out. Commercial parts of the development were to include a large supermarket, hotel and apartments. A similar development (also with a leisure centre) had opened in 2008 in Eltham [[2305722]].
