There are two impressive viaducts across the Crimple valley on the south side of Harrogate. This one is on the disused Leeds Northern line between Starbeck and Pannal. Seen from the corner of the Crimple Valley golf course.

Dist:0.7km<br/>Underneath an arch of Crimple Viaduct that now carries the Harrogate line from Leeds, the course of the old railway line that skirted Harrogate can be seen. This line ran through to Starbeck without passing through Harrogate.

Dist:0.7km<br/>This large viaduct carries the Leeds to York via Harrogate railway high above the River Crimple below. This valley gave its name to the ICI fibre 'Crimplene' as ICI had their fibres division headquarters close by. Here a 13 coach train crosses the viaduct on its return from Scarborough, hauled by 60007 Union of South Africa.
