Dist:0.4km<br/>Formerly the South Lodge to Wood Norton Hall. Red brick with stone dressings and timber-framed upper storey, 1898, by George Hunt who designed the house. Grade II listed. On the left should be a set of splendid C18th wrought iron gates brought from Orleans House, Twickenham (and supposedly before that from Versailles - the house was owned by Duc d'Orleans). They were removed in 2004 following damage inflicted during a car crash, but have been or are being restored with the aim of reinstating them later in 2010. We shall see.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Formerly the North Lodge to Wood Norton Hall. Orange brick with stone dressings, c1872, probably by George Hunt who designed the house. Some nice herringbone work above the windows. Grade II listed. The lodge is currently disused, as is the house (its last incarnation was as a hotel), but the whole site was bought by the BBC who still operate from here - more buildings lie down the drive just visible on the right of the picture.
