Dist:0.3km<br/>Julian's Bridge takes the B3078 over the Dorset Stour into Wimborne from the West. The bridge has more spans than expected to handle the extra width of the Stour when flooded. The bridge is narrow and care must be taken when wide vehicles are crossing. The fields to the West are the first parts of the floodplain to be flooded. Rabbits on the approach road at night are the first indication of flooding of the Stour.

Dist:0.3km<br/>Looking south from Julian's Bridge. This was about 9:00 am on Easter Sunday. As can be inferred from the height of the river, up to now the holiday weekend had been wet.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This was the main A31 heading into the town centre from the west, until the by-pass was put in in the early 1980s. It was then downgraded nominally to the B3078. A light aircraft has just taken a circular path above us.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This serpentine wall (can also be known as a crinkle crankle wall)is one of the longest in the country. It was believed to have been built by French prisoners from the Napoleonic wars. It forms part of the wall around the kitchen garden.

The bridge is "probably late C15 with C17 alterations" and, being in two parishes, gets two listed building citations at http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=107087&mode=quick and http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=107273&mode=quick .
