Dist:0.5km<br/>A group of military-straight memorials in Haycombe cemetery is in fact dedicated to civilians who were killed in the Bath Blitz of April 1942. A couple of stones name those officially occupied in the forces, but the rest (including several family members) are hapless citizens of Bath. Rick Crowley's pic of May 2011 [[[2416825]]] shows a different but similar section of gravestones. See [[[2798034]]] for the inscription on the tablet to the left of shot.

Dist:0.6km<br/>Looking down the steep hill towards Pennyquick and Clay's End, the extent of Haycombe Cemetery can be followed by the stone pillars. Recently, the field adjacent has been fettled for more burials - a necessary extension as the current land is close to capacity. A benchmark can be found on a pillar near to the end:[[[2600460]]].
