Typical Scottish fish & chip shop fayre. From left to right, black pudding, Scotch pie, steak pie, pizza quarter and fish. Most served deep fried in batter. Other standard offerings not on view include sausage, haggis and chicken, also deep fried in batter. All available as a "single" or with chips as a "supper", with or without salt, vinegar, gravy or curry sauce or any combination thereof. Let's not forget the choice of garnishes; pickled eggs, pickled gherkins, pickled beetroot and a choice of tomato ketchup or brown sauce.

The former Birkmyre's Gourock Ropeworks building, more commonly known locally as "The Mill". Now converted to loft apartments following years of neglect which almost resulted in demolition at the turn of the century.

This unnamed road in front of Port Glasgow fire station leads to one of the sheds at the yard. The building on the left was originally Wilson's Pipe Works and later became Ferguson's joinery shop.

Dist:0.1km<br/>Showing Monty's Bar, Port Glasgow Baths [[[337595]]], Heather, Thistle & Rowan Courts and the Gourock Ropework building. The 35 year old courts are currently being renovated. The ropeworks building is being converted to flats [[[337620]]]. Bay Street was the main road through the town (A8) until the late 1960s. The pub on the left was gutted by fire following an arson attack in March 2009 [[1276913]].
