Dist:0.9km<br/>To think that all the west coast traffic heading for the Lakes and Scotland used to pass this spot.... The river Bela and the Dallam deer park put on a fine show for passers-by still. I remember the excitement on reaching this point on a day out to the Lakes from Lancaster as a youngster (we often used this route although the motorway was available). I stopped here returning south to Suffolk from Christmas in Cumbria sorry to be leaving such a beautiful area.
