Dist:0.1km north<br/>Westgate Drift was a local term for the former Employment Exchange on Westgate/Back Lane, (now New Commerce House). When asked where you worked you answered Westgate Drift - locals knew you were unemployed, but strangers were led to believe you were employed at the local 'pit'.
