This is the Hedon to Preston footpath which traverses open farmland. Like most of the rest of Holderness, the ground around here is generally very flat, fertile agricultural land and only just above sea level.

This railway was closed in October 1964 (I think). It is now a bridleway. The view is looking westwards from MR: TA17552930

This photograph was taken on May 25th. 2008 and yet this crop of barley is virtually fully grown! In my childhood, I seem to remember that all cereal crop harvesting was done in September - we haven't even had summer yet!
