Dist:0.4km<br/>A view of the A350 (running left to right) where the minor road from Trowbridge to Bratton crosses it at a traffic light controlled junction. The gateposts below the trees at left of centre mark the entrance drive to Rood Ashton Hall which dates from 1808. However, most of the hall was demolished in the late 70's, leaving one part remaining as a private residence. The name is also preserved on the GWR Hall class steam locomotive '4965'which is still in use for railtours.

Dist:0.7km<br/>I rather liked the idea of the brand sparkling new site office turning its back on the half demolished barn. Bearing in mind the site office will also go when the houses have been built. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if the dry rot don't get us the developers must.

Dist:0.8km<br/>Not easy to make a building site look pretty. Bring in a few flags and some bright colours, get the clouds to co-operate, it can be done. The finished houses are a great improvement on the utilitarian but dull stuff that was being built in the 1960/70 era.

Dist:0.9km<br/>Looking northwest along the A350 to the roundabout at Yarnbrook. The A350 turns right at this roundabout, with the straight ahead road being the A363. The road to the left provides access to the West Wilts Trading Estate. This roundabout can get very congested at peak times with extensive queues developing on the A350.
