Dist:0.2km<br/>Part of three Lancashire boilers. The far one has underfeed mechanical stokers and I believe it was used in the winter for heating. There are very few Lancashire boilers left in use. Indeed, I would welcome all reports of Lancashire or Cornish boilers in use commercially (not preservation sites).

Dist:0.3km<br/>There are still many of these "Corrie" type lanes in Oldham but they usually have gates on them. I shot this through the bars of the gate. This is a little Boer War enclave that is centred on Durban Mill (q.v.). All the streets have Boer War connections.
