Dist:0.2km<br/>Greena Moor is jointly owned and managed by Plantlife and Cornwall Wildlife Trust whose website http://www.cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk/reserves/greena.htm tells us that the site is mainly culm grassland which "develops on poorly-drained acid soils which stay wet even in the driest weather because of the rock structure below" and "Meadow thistle and whorled caraway are two key species associated with the purple moor-grass and rushes that dominate this place." View from road, which is National Cycle route no 3.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>Thomasine Bonaventure, a local shepherdess, was taken to London by a rich merchant, Richard Brunsby, as a ladies maid. On his wife's death, and with her blessing, she married him. Widowed, she then went on to marry another two Lords who both later died. Returning to Week St Mary as Lady Bountiful she built a free school and founded a chantry in this church. You couldn't make it up!

Dist:1.2km northeast<br/>Valleys and fields seen from 562/10/1, just to the east of the village. The valleys (there are three crossing the square and in the photo, the furthest being the deepest) drain past Swannacott Wood and eventually into the Neet.
