CBS Packaging began in 1996, when the company first registered the trading name of Corrugated Box Suppliers. During the early years CBS packaging operated from premises in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Dist:0.3km<br/>This is a view looking towards Birmingham. There were originally 4 separate canal basins on the left here - their locations are shown on old OS maps. The first served a brickworks, the others limekilns. Opposite the first bridge was a junction with the eastern end of the Izon Loop, a part of the original Wednesbury Old Canal which was bypassed by Telford's 1830's New Main Line. The Izon branch was filled in many years ago, but its line is still marked by property boundaries and can be seen on aerial photos. From this point until Spon Lane locks the New Main Line uses the course of the Wednesbury Old Canal.
