Dist:0.3km<br/>This is the view from the car park outside Argos in the Beckton Triangle Retail Park. I took this shot for an airship behind the pylon in the distance, but the zoom on my camera phone was just not powerful enough to get a good shot of it. Note the high mast lighting in shot. Imagine what the view would be like from a cherry picker from that height - it'd probably be like a free trip to Ben Nevis for the engineers! Dist:0.4km<br/>This is the view looking in the opposite direction to [[1487838]] and towards where that shot was taken outside Argos from Royal Docks Road. The high mast streetlight in that photo can be clearly seen, as can the board advertising all the retailers within the park (the back of this can just be seen in [[1487838]]). View taken looking northwest towards the A13, which is behind Currys and SCS in the background.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Hameway is an unusual circular road with these half-timbered and partially pebble dashed 1930s houses on both the inside (left) and outside (right) of the circle. Unfortunately the circle is obscured on the Ordnance Survey's 1:50,000 scale mapping with the word 'Cemy' for the nearby [[761069]], but it shows up well on the 1:25,000 scale. This latter mapping also shows that the rear gardens of the houses on the inner side do not all meet at a point but that there is a communal green in the centre of the circle.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Landscaped planting, textured paving on the footpath and coloured asphalt on the cycle track all help humanise the otherwise brutal concrete wilderness of the A13 flyover at East Ham. And there's no litter or graffiti.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The bridge should lead to the Beckton Alps. It is not in use, but the fencing round it has been removed. It is most definitely not meant as an adventure playground but I suspect the local children have other ideas.

Dist:0.6km<br/>This is a permissive path that runs along the top of the Northern Outfall Sewer. The eventual destination of the sewer is Beckton Sewage Works, about 2 kilometres away. This path only goes another kilometre or so, then it ends at the next major road. The tall arched structure with some blue colouring straight ahead is the Barking Barrier [[321573]].
