This is the first time I've seen one in the flesh, so I made the most of the opportunity and snapped it before it disappeared! Dist:0.2km<br/>T64 terminates on Eastern Avenue after the journey from Harold Wood Station. The traffic along the A12 is quite busy. The Cherry trees along the central reservation provide spring colour. The elderly couple at the bus stop seem interested in what I was doing.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Gants Hill Roundabout has been receiving a facelift since the beginning of the year and this is the progress as of Tuesday. The road has been completely resurfaced, which has led to Cranbrook Road (the road in the distance) and Woodford Avenue (out of shot to the right) being closed in both directions by the shops on either side of the roundabout. The subways to Gants Hill tube station have received new wall tiling (although this has been rather piecemeal and has merely involved a new line of brightly coloured tiles by each of the exits) as well as new floor tiling. Traffic signals have been installed at each junction leading to the roundabout, but are not yet operational, and new high-mast streetlighting (the column by the red van is one of the installations) has also been installed, replacing the older street lights seen behind it. Dist:0.2km<br/>A dreary morning here in Gants Hill on the last day of August! There is a thin film of fog which is just covering the tops of City Gate House (converted to flats in 2006) and the new block of flats which are still under construction on the Odeon site, as well as a spit of rain and thick, grey cloud. I'd thought I'd picture this as the effect of the fog on the roofs of the buildings makes them look rather interesting and creates a rather spooky effect!
