Dist:0.3km<br/>The red tarmacked area on the left hand side of the road is useful for walkers and cyclists as there is no pavement. However, when cars park on the other side and force motorists to invade the red area just to get by then it all seems like a waste of money.

Dist:0.4km<br/>When the A39 was widened and straightened a parallel lane was left to run alongside, separated from the trunk road by a mass of gorse and a steep bank. It is a haven for wasteground plants, but a bit noisy.

Dist:0.4km<br/>The footpath from Trispen to St Allen crosses the A39 road just beyond this gate. If you can get across this section safely then walking the rest of the path offers no danger.

Dist:0.6km<br/>There is a mix of old and new housing in the village of St Erme. These cottages are not among the newest but I don't think they are as old as they would like to appear.

Dist:0.6km<br/>This estate separates garages from their houses. This was quite a popular concept with the designers of late 20th century housing estates. It requires fewer roads to be built into the estate and allows a higher density of housing. It was marketed as providing a more pleasant environment.
