Dist:0.1km<br/>This group were on the way up as I was on the way down. They seemed to have a guide who was very knowledgeable about the hill. On the eastern end of the hill you can drive your car up, here on the western end the stony granite paths are for walkers only.

Dist:0.5km<br/>View eastwards, towards Truro and Plymouth; Great Western Plymouth - Penzance main line. The station closed to passengers on 2/1/61, but remained for goods until 1/5/67. (There was little to show on a wet day 20 years later).

Dist:0.6km<br/>This is the site of what used to be Carn Brea Station, an important stop on the West Cornwall Railway. The station was closed in 1967.

Dist:0.6km<br/>This building houses an engine to provide compressed air to rock drills. The engine has long since gone but the huge granite slabs on which it was mounted remain.
