Dist:0.1km<br/>The name of the field according to Hamsey's 1840 tithe map which on a 1752 estate map was two fields called Grubbed Piece and Three Acres. They had been joined together by 1827 and named after Springles Barn which once stood out of shot to the right until the early 1970s the field and its poultry shed now belong to Springles Farm.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The farmhouse can be seen in the distance and is relatively new having been constructed in 2005. The farm is owned by Grassington Rangers who run a number of free range poultry farms in the county and has occupied this site for the last five years or so. The public footpath has also recently been moved to follow the drive from Town Littleworth Road.

Dist:0.4km<br/>A minor road that links old Cooksbridge with Town Littleworth running parallel with the A275. Here it is passing Beachy Wood. The road is of some antiquity as it also forms the parish boundary between Hamsey on the left and Barcombe to the right throughout much of its length from old Cooksbridge to Holmans Bridge.

On an earlier 1752 estate map this area was all part of Lower Alford's Wood which was grubbed sometime in the early 19th century leaving only remnants in the form of Kiln Wood and River Wood. The name itself looks self explanatory with a gentle slope running down towards Bevern Stream in the distance. The field has been extended to include [[2217981]] to the south.
