If you did not know already, you would hardly need to be told that this structure dates from the 1960s - 1968, to be precise, when the first part of the Victoria Line was opened.

The railway through here was opened in 1840 by the Eastern Counties Railway. Seen looking south from Tottenham Hale station, a Down service is approaching in the form of a Class 317 unit. The bridge carries Ferry Lane, an important and busy road which is part of the A503.

The road bridge carries [[1767129]] across the railway line immediately south of [[1767119]]. Further down the railway track, beside which trees are coming into leaf, is part of the High Cross Centre.

The left hand corner is a very acute angle in plan, with the right hand corner of the tall block obtuse. It makes one wonder how the rooms are arranged inside.

Having excellent services by both Underground and National Rail, Tottenham Hale has become an important transport interchange for bicycle, private car, taxi and bus users. Here is seen an Arriva bus on Route 41 which operates Archway to Tottenham Hale. The vehicle is VLA 99, a Volvo B7L with Alexander low-floor bodywork, a type introduced in 2004.
