Torbryan is a quiet small village tucked away in South Devon. Some nice houses and good farming country.

The common used to be grazed by animals, but because this hasn't happened in recent times shrubs and bracken have grown, diminishing the ecological value of the site. However on the positive side, where the volunteers and rangers have cleared areas, it does not take long to see plants such as orchids return in large numbers. There is talk of reintroducing livestock maybe even goats. This is one of the cleared areas with many bluebells and orchids.

This is a good habitat for flora and fauna. There are lots of wild flowers [[893828]], [[796785]], [[796769]] including the musk thistle [[893820]]and [[893823]] here with two bees still fast asleep with dew on them! This is looking in the direction of Broadhempston.
