Freddie Mills-ex Boxer

As many people are aware, Feddie was falsely accused of being the Hammersmith Nudes Murderer (1963-1965. Google Hammersmith Nudes Murders.)I am convinced that the killer was double Welsh rapist and murderer Harold Jones who while using various aliases lived incognito in Fulham, Putney and Hammersmith between 1947 and 1971.Google neil milkins and click onto first link and various links thereafter)I am trying to contact Freddie's two daughters, Susan and Amanda and his stepson actor Donald McCorkindale. If anyone can help I can be contacted via email at n.milkin@sky.com

Best wishes Neil Milkins(Author)

Earl's Court and Barons Court apostrophe mystery!

Those of you who - like me - lie awake at night wondering why Earl's Court has an apostrophe, but Barons Court doesn't, please see below an explanation from George Wu at TFL.

Thank you for your feedback form about the difference in the naming of Earl's Court and Barons Court.

The land in the Earl's Court area was owned by the De Vere family, Earls of Oxford, for over 500 years after Aubrey De Vere followed William the Conqueror to England in 1066. In other words, the area really was the court of an Earl, so merits the possessive apostrophe.

Barons Court developed as an area much later and the name was essentially made up to sound impressive and reflect the proximity to Earl's Court. There was no baron, so there's no apostrophe.

I hope the above answers your query.

Please do not hesitate to contact me again if you need any help in the future.

Yours sincerely,

George Wu

Congestion Charge Western Zone - Are you For or Against?

No!! It looks like Boris is getting rid of the western extension of the congestion charge zone.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7752046.stm

Seems a move in the wrong direction to me.

London's roads are so busy, I think people *should* pay for the privilege of clogging them up for everyone else if they choose to drive rather than use public transport.

Why don't we do everything we can to make journeys by public transport faster and more convenient?

Am I wrong? What do you think?
