Welcome to the Friends of Wombwell Forum. To join this forum you must live or have some connection with the town of wombwell. Its a great place looking for members to join the community.

The historical society meet every month to discuss and promote events or people from the past in connection with our village and surounding area.

This club is open to all abilities, and starts out from the Hunters Bar Roundabout entrance to Endcliffe Park. The session is FREE and is run by qualified coaches from Activity Sheffield (Sheffield City Council). The session is every Monday (except for Bank Holidays) between 5pm and 6pm.

Adults Badminton session. Open to all abilities. Equipment is provided as well as coaching from Activity Sheffield Staff (Sheffield City Council). The venue has 4 courts, changing facilites and more. The session has a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere to it.
The session runs every Monday (except for Bank Holidays) between 6pm and 7.30pm and costs just £2.

Various activities and sports for children within the area including multi-sport clubs, Street Dance, Cheerleading, Football, Holiday camps and much more.

Running club for all abilties of runner. We organise 5 fell races a year and most club members are more keen on fell running than road running

12 week Nutrition Club with Weight Loss Challenge - education on nutrition and chance of winning £300 for biggest loser as well as on going prizes.

Rothwell Shotokan Karate Club is based in Rothwell, Leeds and East Ardsley, wakefield. Our club teaches traditional Shotokan Karate and is directly affiliated to the Karate union of Great Britain. We offer classes for new starters and advanced black belt students. We have over fifty years of combined karate and teaching experience.

Belly Dancing class at St. Swithens Church, Holmesfield main road thursdays 6.30-7.15. Beginners are very welcome. A fun and friendly environment where everyone can enjoy a shimmy.

We are a local Majorettes Dance Troupe based in Wrenthorpe, who are always looking for new dancers. Aged 4 upwards.
We dance at St Annes Church Hall, Wrenthorpe on a Monday and Friday 6 - 7.30 and Newton Hill School, Newton Hill on a Wednesday 6 - 8( night of dancing would depend on age). First class free.
We are a small friendly troupe who enjoy dancing in both competitions and Galas in the local area. For further information for either joining the Troupe or for the Troupe to dance at your Gala please contact Suzanne.

training is from 6:15 til 8:15 every Thursday at Killamarsh leisure centre .Everyone is welcome just come and have a look the first session is free .we have a number of families training together

The Music club is run along the same model as a book club. We choose an album or artist of the week, listen to it at our leisure, then return the next week and discuss over a cup of tea or coffee. If you would enjoy sharing your favourite music over a cuppa, then we weould love to meet you.
