Formerly the annexe to the Regent Palace Hotel on the left and joined to it by the unusual overbridge, the Piccadilly Hotel on the right is now a 600 bed backpackers' hostel.

The empty plinth at the north-west corner of Trafalgar Square now contains this sculpture by Marc Quinn. It is made from marble, weighs 13 tons and stands 3.3 metres high.
