Dist:0.7km<br/>Laid out by Henry Wise in 1711 as a route for Queen Anne to get from Windsor Castle (just visible in the misty distance) to Ascot racecourse. It was originally lined with lime trees, but there are now 1,000 oaks paid for by County High Sheriffs.
