Dist:0.6km<br/>Interesting to note the difference in behaviour between these animals and sheep. Whereas sheep would usually flock together and be ready to run, alpacas stay in a group, lift their heads and stare until you are our of sight. Kept for their fine wool, I was told these females have been separated from the males while they give birth.

Dist:0.9km<br/>One of a number of limestone mines and quarries in this area. There is a sign at the entrance claiming it is a quarry, OS Explorer 156 gives it as a mine. It could be a mine which has been opened up to be a quarry but I saw no evidence of this.
