Dist:0.4km<br/>View northwards along what was once the Hereford & Gloucester Canal. A few daffodils near the hedgerow. Fifty years ago all the fields here would be solid with wild daffodils and the locals would be picking them and sending them to market in other parts of the country. Intensive farming has gradually killed off the bulbs, which are now largely restricted to the woodland, old orchards and hedgerows.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Looking eastwards over the canal bridge. The Daffodil Way crosses the bridge then immediately turns left to follow the old canal.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The Gloucester to Hereford canal was begun in 1793 and completed by 1845. Unfortunately it was never a commercial success and it closed in 1885. This is one of the few parts of the former canal which still has water in it. This section is just north of the Oxenhall tunnel where the M50 crosses the canal's route.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Looking northwards. At this point the public right of way crosses the field to the little gap in the hedge opposite, but the farmer has left a good strip near the hedgerow for walkers, so common sense prevails.
