Dist:0.3km<br/>These trees in the centre of the picture, have Tree Preservation Orders on them and are just south of Mile House Lane junction. The older detached houses are being redeveloped behind them.

Dist:0.3km<br/>These trees are part of our community heritage and mark an old field/path boundary before the houses were built. They are two of many similar natural architectural monuments in this area of St Albans, Herts and require respect and preservation.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This building houses play schools and similar activities. The gravel areas in the planting are intended for use as boules rinks by parents.The area was once a hospital so there are hundreds of new houses in the vicinity.

Dist:0.4km<br/>The section between Bedford and London St Pancras was one of the last parts of the Midland Railway to be built, being completed in 1868. This is the view from the Napsbury Lane bridge, with the Slow lines on the right and the Fast lines on the left.

Dist:0.5km<br/>I took this to demonstrate that Jack's [[24815]] was originally assigned to the wrong grid square [[TL1505]]. However it is informative to compare the two images. In 2009 the same production/warehouse units are apparently still to let nearly four years on, while two more have been advertised in the interim, which demonstrates the stagnation and lack of demand in the commercial property market as much as anything else. The North Orbital Commercial Park is off Napsbury Lane off [[1296481]].

Dist:0.5km<br/>Over-night the Mile House Pub on London Road, St Albans, was pulled down by developers. Whilst not a listed, this building was a valued community resource in south St Albans and was open to adults and children (as it served meals). The site is currently being developed for a number of flats, hence the blue boarding. Tree have been lost as a result of this activity.
