Dist:0.2km<br/>In 1932, a chapel was constructed in the south aisle of the church complete with altar, candlesticks, cross and furniture, most of which is shown above. It is clear from the wording on the brass plaque, that the chapel was a memorial for all those who served and died in World War One in the village. The plastic covering is to protect the fabric of the church from bats that live in the roof. The altar table, as seen in the above photograph is clearly not the original altar. The brass plaque shown and described in another photograph for this church.

To fix on the half pillar of the north side of the proposed side altar (after the dedication ceremony) a brass tablet about twelve inches by about nine inches in size with the following inscription thereon, namely: - “1914 – 1918, To the Glory of God and in memory of the men of this Parish who served in the Great War, this Chapel was dedicated by the Chancellor of Lincoln Cathedral on Quinquagesima Sunday 1932” S. Dist:0.2km<br/>Striations of greenstone and brick give St.Oswald's a distinctive appearance. Mostly 1857 by Maughan & Fowler and a chancel of 1874 by Ewan Christian, but inside a medieval south arcade, font and south asile E window.
