"It was also designed by G J Skipper, in a more decorative Jacobean style than Wilfrid Terrace (opposite). Dist:0.2km<br/>Located at 71 High Street, this TE dates from 1962, this being indicated by the EIIR cipher on the building to the right of the photo. At one time, it was also occupied by a Post Office, which has since moved along to 85 High Street to be located within a shop. Now a firm of bookmakers occupies the ground floor, an unusual combination for the TE which is above it. A KX100 telephone kiosk can be seen to the left of the photo.

Dist:0.2km<br/>A community centre in the centre of Street. St. Crispin is the patron saint of shoemakers, hence the connection to Street where the Clark's factory dominates. St. Crispin's Day is 25th October, as military historians (Agincourt) and Shakespeare's readers (Henry V) will know.
