What can be seen here is the grassy dam and vegetation bordering the pond, with Cartref Cottage on the hill beyond. This pond is not on any OS map, although clearly visible in maps.live aerial. Seen from edge of access woodland.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This building was in the 1950s the Compton Arms Hotel. Peter Twydell writes "It was owned by Leslie Hope, who lived in Milford on Sea. The manager and manageress were Frank Earle and his wife Bessie. Frank was my mother's brother, and Bessie was one of Leslie Hope's two daughters."
