Marble Hill House is a Palladian villa built for Henrietta Howard, mistress of King George II when he was the Prince of Wales. Set in 66 acres of riverside parkland, its construction was begun in 1724. The building and parkland are now managed by English Heritage and their website for the property is here http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/ConProperty.108

This was a raft on the Thames on which a somewhat eccentric homeless man lived. He could often be seen cycling around collecting junk on a small trailer. He was quite harmless, and there was a protest from locals when the Council tried to evict him. Can anyone provide any more details on this, and tell us what happened to him?
