Dist:0.1km north<br/>The Yeoman Warders are commonly known as "Beefeaters" and were first formed by Henry VII. The term comes from the French 'boufitier', guardian of the royal buffet. They have a ceremonial role today, plus are part of the scene for guarding the Crown Jewels, Queen's Keys and guiding tourists at the Tower.
