Part of Horse Guards Parade can be seen at the bottom of the photo, Whitehall is between it and the Thames. The Houses of parliament, London Eye, Waterloo station and The Oval cricket ground are the other prominent landmarks. Viewed from a Prague bound flight from Heathrow.

The H.O.S. "Wellington" of the Master Mariners. I was just walking along the footpath, by this vessel, and thought that I would be cheeky and go aboard. All I can say is that I was very favourably impressed by the courteous reception I received, even though I was neither a Member nor anyone liable to so be. The Crew on duty showed me around and, from memory, even shouted me a drink. Good Public Relations, for sure.

The "Queen Mary" is between the photographer and the Bridge whilst the "Wellington" is beyond it. And I assume that the vessel to the right is a river version of a road-sweeper?

Although the front of the building says Charing Cross Station, would I be right in assuming that this an hotel constructed over the actual railway terminal??
