Both buildings would appear to be in use, the front one dating from the GPO years, ie before 1969. Besides Herriard, this TE also serves Ellisfield and Lasham nearby. It has (01256) 381xxx, 384xxx numbers and its postcode is RG25 2PN.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The pub for Herriard, at the hamlet of Southrope a mile to the south east. This used to be on the main road but the hamlet has been bypassed. So the pub has to be imaginative in catching passing trade.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Actually, the stop is on the modern A339 to the west of the pub, which is on the old road. I would not recommend waiting in the shelter for the bus. There is no window to see it approaching, it is a fast road and the shelter is so far back from the stop that the bus would be well past before you knew it. Unless you have a friend you can trust to stand by the stop and not let the bus go without you. Being pedantic, why do we call them bus shelters? Surely we mean passenger waiting shelters.

Dist:0.6km<br/>The local headquarters and meeting room of the ex-servicemen's charity on the bypassed section of the A339. Lasham is included because of the former RAF base at the airfield a mile or two away. To the left is a cul-de-sac of bungalows which may well have been built for ex-servicemen.
