Dist:0.4km north<br/>The Piccadilly and West Brompton railway was the original name of the Piccadilly line. It was a true tube railway which had a station directly below that of the District line at Gloucester Road, and a separate entrance slightly to the west was provided. In 1985 this remained almost in original condition.

Dist:0.4km north<br/>Gloucester Road station has four sub-surface tracks, reflecting the fact that it was originally used by both the Metropolitan and the Metropolitan District railways. Here an eastbound Circle Line train is about to depart, away from the camera. This train is formed of 'C69' stock.
