Dist:0.3km north<br/>These houses were built by Charles James Freake, a Victorian builder. The first houses in this terrace were built in 1845 and the whole square was finished in 1865. This is the view NE along the NW side of the square.

Dist:0.4km north<br/>The Piccadilly and West Brompton railway was the original name of the Piccadilly line. It was a true tube railway which had a station directly below that of the District line at Gloucester Road, and a separate entrance slightly to the west was provided. In 1985 this remained almost in original condition.

Here an eastbound Circle Line train is about to depart, away from the camera. This train is formed of 'C69' stock.
