Formerly known as the Post Office Tower, this is located in the NW of this square. The photo was taken from the top floor of an office building in Eastcastle Street, near the middle of the square.

Located in Argyll Street, W.1 - first opened in 1910.

The 35-storey office block is at the junction of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street. Built in 1964 designed by Seifert, it became notorious as it was kept empty, not paying rates as its value increased. It is now the headquarters of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry). The photo is taken looking east along Oxford Street.

Showing "We will rock you" when the photo was taken looking east across Tottenham Court Road. The theatre was built in 1929 designed by W and TR Milburn, converted to a cinema in 1931. For the last few years it has shown live musicals.

There is a cluster of bookshops on Charing Cross Road. This is probably the most famous, Foyles.

West side of Bedford Square, looking towards the north side. Going by the amount of 'blue plaques' here virtually every house on this square seems to have been home to some famous person.
