It was installed at the Princes Drive sewage pumping station at Leamington Spa [[421411]] [[1650193]]. The condensing plant was not installed when it was re-erected at Snibston. The cylinder is 25" x 5' stroke with a Meyer expansion slide valve. The engine was of 50 horsepower. It stopped in 1964 and was removed in 1987. Its twin is at the Forncett Industrial Steam Museum [[1992640]].

Dist:0.3km<br/>Andrew Barclay 1815, built 1924. These locomotives take on steam from a large boiler, storing the steam in the pressurised container. They often worked in places where there was steam on tap or where a firebox was dangerous (e.g paperworks). Preserved at Snibston.

Dist:0.3km<br/>A rare early contractors locomotive. Built by Brush in 1903/06 and sold by the GWR in 1929 to a private operator for further service. It is on public display, but not operational, at the Snibston Discovery Park near Coalville wearing No. 921.

Dist:0.3km<br/>A supplemental I think. The large object in the foreground is a rare example of a haystack boiler. There is another at the Black Country Museum. The round object just over its left shoulder (so to speak) is the winding drum from the Donisthorpe Colliery steam winding engine. This is awaiting re-erection. The tandem headgear is a nice survival. The pit was associated with the Stephensons of railway fame. The modern museum building is a fine example of the "MFI" school of modern architecture and one day I'll ask reception where the flat pack wardrobes are!
