Dist:0.5km<br/>The origins of these buildings are unknown. The landscape of Cannock Chase has changed many times. In WWI it was a hive of activity. There were training camps and hospitals, all supplied by a railway. These may be a remnant of that period.

Dist:0.5km<br/>One of the smaller paths through the trees. These allow the walker to escape from the mountain biker, horse riders and most of the walkers of this busy area. A GPS can be handy on the Chase as the landscape can look very similar.

Dist:0.6km<br/>Just out of sight in top left hand corner of the Picture, there used to be a pipe about 12" wide and sticking out of the ground about 12", it was filled with stones and freezing cold water used to pour out Summer and Winter, the best tasting water you could ever get. But when the Coal Mines came under the Chase it stopped running, like so many small Streams in the area.
