Dist:0.1km<br/>At first sight this might be mistaken for a disused windmill, but it is much larger, and is a 14th century dovecote. From this angle the fact that the roof does not rise to a single point can be seen. The area around the dovecote is used as a horse paddock, as the shadow indicates.

Dist:0.1km<br/>The dovecote at Sibthorpe stands in a field next to the church, and is the earliest and largest circular dovecote in Nottinghamshire. It was built in the 14th century, from stone with a conical roof. It is 9.5m in diameter, 18.25m high and has 1260 nesting places in 28 tiers.
