Dist:0.5km<br/>Most likely to have been caused by the meeting of parish boundaries at the tip of the bend. Here Partridge Green Road, Shermanbury becomes Shermanbury Road, Partridge Green at the entrance to Shermanbury Grange, though the latter is officially in West Grinstead parish. The road was already in existence during the 17th century and is the modern day B2116.

Dist:0.5km<br/>According to the 1840 tithe map the area now covered by this wood was once two fields called Little North Field and One Acre Field. The fields were still there on the 1875-79 OS map but had gone by 1897 when the land belonging to a number of farms in the vicinity were purchased by the owners of Shermanbury Grange to add to their parkland. In all likelihood the wood was named after nearby Wymarks, one of the farms which lost its land. A number of rides have been created but are all private and signed as such.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The name of the field according to the 1840 tithe map that along with a number of others between Greentree Lane and Partridge Green Road came under the ownership of Shermanbury Grange in 1890. Many of the hedgerows were removed to turn the area into parkland. The morning dew is still noticeable on the ground.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Whatever this lane once was, it is now just a bridleway. Wymarks Wood is to the right, and possible also to the left. It is well supplied with pleasant rides, all with signs pointing out they are private.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The name of the wood that is bounded by a footpath to the north and the A281 to the west. The wood seems to have been planted during the last decade of the 19th century as this part of the wood was once the western edge of Plum Tree Field.
