Dist:0.5km<br/>Having negotiated the drainage ditch seen at [[382093]], and the necessary diversion through the industrial buildings, the footpath along the River Dee returns to the bank to continue to Queensferry, which is behind the camera.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The footpath from the River Dee winds its way past these old industrial buildings. The large drum-like objects on the roof are ventilators that allow hot air to escape.

Dist:0.5km<br/>This boat really is up a creek without a paddle, and looks as though it has been there for some time. The 'creek' is the main drainage ditch for the low-lying land around Sandycroft and it feeds into the River Dee. On the far bank is the Sealand Land Drainage Pumping Station, which keeps the land dry on that side of the river.

Dist:0.5km<br/>A few metres to the side of the footpath from the River Dee, this large chunk of brickwork looks as though it may have been the base of a chimney at some time. I may have been something entirely different, but its massive construction suggests that it was industrial.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Just in front of the camera, flowing from the left, is the main drainage ditch that drains the land around Sandycroft. The River Dee is at a very low state of the tide, but the exposed mud is not a place to venture on to.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Very little is left of this jetty, which would have been used to load small boats before the river silted up. A Cormorant is sitting on the right hand post, but he didn't stay long.

Dist:0.5km<br/>This footpath, which has just left the River Dee appears to be in a tranquil woodland setting, however, just out of sight it is very industrial.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The River Dee is seen here at low tide, as it flows towards Queensferry. The wooden skeleton on the left bank is one of several ruinous jetties, from a bygone age, that can still be seen along the river bank.

Dist:0.6km<br/>This iron stile is very solid and takes the footpath from the industrial area of Sandycroft out onto the bank of the River Dee.
