This was opened in 1828. t is now only about 400m long, ending just short of the bridge under the A629.

Although provided with street lighting, this is shown as a bridleway on the map. It is certainly not suitable for through motor traffic.

Built in the 17C, with earlier parts. The ten-light window is typical of one for a two-storey hall. There is a gable to the left, shown in another photo.

The nearer bridge in the photo carries Wakefield Road over the Halifax branch of the Calder & Hebble Canal. A plaque identifies it as "Bridge 10". Beyond it can be seen the bridge carrying the railway between Halifax and Sowerby Bridge.
