Dist:0.7km<br/>In 1944 this farm was occupied by my uncle Henry Jacob Finch (Jack) Reynolds and although I was only five at the time I have a vivid memory of the unusual arrangement of the inside. The back of the house was a large open plan lean-to with several separate stairs up to the bedrooms. I must have visited the farm more than once as the photograph is dated January 1944 but I clearly remember catching a rabbit when the corn was being cut! I note that the farmhouse is now a Grade II listed building See [[2844124]]

Dist:0.7km<br/>This forms the northern boundary of the public woodland of High Woods and the boundary between Rother and Eastbourne local authorities. It is bridged by public footpath Bexhill 54/Ninfield 18b just round the corner, the designation presumably changing half way across the bridge. Deer evidently prefer this point as a crossing.
