Facade view of the now derelict Guest & Chrimes valve works on Don Street. In its day, one can imagine that it would have looked quite imposing. At the time of the photo, this facade and a few of the buildings to the rear, were all that remained of the complex. Swept away now, it is the site of a new modern luxury office building.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The Alma Tavern, situated on Westgate, was closed and up for letting at the time of this photo on 18.10.2008, and seen sprouting a nice bit of facial topiary on it's upper decks. Rebuilt in 1909, it was a Bentley's Rotherham Ales house.

Dist:0.2km<br/>This photograph was taken on Bow Bridge close to the Ickles roundabout in Rotherham South Yorkshire. Taken in January 2009 and before the heavy snowfall of February 2009 the flow rate of both rivers was slow. The merging of rivers graceful rather than eventful.
