Dist:0.5km<br/>The viewpoint is the northernmost extent of Rodborough Common. From here the land slopes down into Stroud, part of which can be seen in the distance on the other side of the valley. The views from up here are quite spectacular and you don't have to be a mountaineer to enjoy them.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The former offices of the Stroudwater Navigation Company were built in a style characteristic of buildings on this canal and the adjoining Thames & Severn Canal. The offices are situated by the site of the infilled Wallbridge Basin - the original terminus of the Stroudwater Navigation (canal) before the construction of the Thames & Severn provided a link to the east. This Stroudwater Navigation Company dates back to the 1730s and still exists today. It is believed to be the oldest surviving canal company in the private sector.
