Dist:1.0km north<br/>This road was opened in 1927 and has been described as Britain's first bypass. This picture was taken looking North at Kingston Vale, the sign shows the Robin Hood Gate roundabout at the entrance to Richmond Park although cars are not allowed in or out of the Park at this gate

Dist:1.0km north<br/>The church was built in 1861 to the designs of Edward Christian. The parish was then known as Robin Hood. It was later renamed as Kingston Vale. St John's is a small building with a short nave and side aisles and apsidal chancel containing stained glass windows of the four Patron Saints of the British Isles. The building was extended to the south (left of photo) in 2000 to provide meeting room, toilet and kitchen facilities.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>Looks more muddy than gravelly! No, this is the ride that leads to Gravelly Hill from the north-west corner of the common. Most of Wimbledon Common, including this area, forms a 350 hectare SSSI.
